David T. Hatutian – Mr. Hatutian is the President of Hopkins Appraisal. David Hatutian has over 40 years of experience as a real estate appraiser. Mr. Hatutian has appraised thousands of petroleum marketing and c-store facilities since first joining David Hopkins in 1983. Mr. Hatutian has appraised petroleum/c-store properties in forty states and led appraisal teams covering all fifty states. In addition to assignment bids and overseeing day-to-day workflow of our 40 appraisers, he recruits and manages the firm’s largest petroleum portfolio assignments, and leads the petroleum consulting and advisory practice. Mr. Hatutian is also responsible for staff management and marketing. In addition Mr. Hatutian is currently heading the design and development team for Hopkins Appraisal Services new state-of-the art pipeline and valuation software.
Brock J. Rule, MAI, ASA-BV – Brock J. Rule has 35 years of experience as a real estate appraiser, developer, and consultant. At Hopkins, Brock is COO and Treasurer. He also heads the restaurant and business valuation divisions. Mr. Rule served as principal of Rule & Company Inc. prior to a 2000 merger with Hopkins Appraisal Services. He obtained the MAI designation in 1991. Mr. Rule also earned the ASA designation in business valuation (2009). Mr. Rule is a frequent speaker at industry conferences including the OPIS Site School, the SIGMA Masters Program, the NACS Show, the Society of Chief Appraisers, and the Outlook Leadership Conference. Mr. Rule holds a Bachelor of Science degree (cum laude) in Chemical Engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Brock has held technical and marketing positions at Dow Chemical and Atlantic-Richfield.
Ann C. Porter – Managing Director / Principal and one of the original cofounders of Hopkins Appraisal has over 40 years’ experience in the oil industry. In 1978 Ann was recruited by Mobil Oil (now ExxonMobil). While on Mobil’s executive fast track she fostered and promoted longstanding relationships with major oil company principals while managing real estate acquisitions and dispositions throughout the entire United States. Over 40 years later Ann’s business relationships consistently generate profitability to the company’s bottom line as Ms. Porter heads the largest producing team at Hopkins. Ms. Porter joined David Hopkins in 1991. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and is a Certified General Appraiser with licenses coast to coast.
Roger G. Land, MAI – Mr. Land has been a commercial real estate appraiser since 1991. He joined Hopkins Appraisal Services in 2001. Roger is the manager of Hopkins’ office in Austin, Texas, as well as a Managing Director / Principal of the firm. Roger was Senior Manager, Structured Finance Practice / Financial Advisory Services of Deloitte & Touche LLP from August 1997 to July 2001. Mr. Land was Manager, Real Estate Valuation/Advisory Services at Price Waterhouse LLP from May 1991 to July 1997. Roger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a minor in Finance and an MA in Land Economics and Real Estate, all from Texas A & M University.
Brian D. Coup – Mr. Coup has been involved with commercial real estate since 1990. He joined Hopkins Appraisal Services in 1999 and is the manager of the Hopkins’ office in Phoenix, Arizona. At present, he is a Managing Director / Principal for Hopkins. Brian was a Senior Appraiser with Integra Realty Resources (f.k.a. Nunnink & Associates) from 1996 to 1999. Prior to this Mr. Coup worked for Security Bank of Kansas City as a Commercial Loan Officer and Appraisal Officer specializing in workout loans as well as real estate development loans. Brian holds a Bachelor of Administration degree in Finance.
Jeffrey T. Rouse, MAI – Mr. Rouse has over 25 years of experience as a real estate appraiser and joined Hopkins Appraisal in 1996. Jeff is a State Certified Real Estate Appraiser. Over the past 25 years Jeff has appraised petroleum/c-store properties in 40 states. Jeff hold a B.A. degree in Arts and Economics from Wichita State University. He obtained the MAI designation in 2017. Jeff, as a Managing Director / Principal, travels the country for the company and is one of the most experienced and trusted appraiser with the firm. In addition to his duties as a Vice President, Jeff heads our team covering Southern California. Mr. Rouse is based in Independence Missouri corporate office.
Kenneth Harris, MAI – Mr. Harris has 35 years of experience as a real estate appraiser and leads the Southeast Region as Managing Director / Principal. Ken is a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Florida. In addition to Florida, Ken holds licenses in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. Mr. Harris joined Hopkins Appraisal Services in 1997. Mr. Harris is based in our West Palm Beach office with responsibility for training new appraisers and management of the Orlando and Pensacola satellite offices. Ken travels throughout the United States when called upon by our many clients. Ken also manages our team covering Hawaii and Guam.
